MG TC 1947
MG TC for enthusiasts
The TC is in good condition (2-2.5) and absolutely roadworthy. The veteran’s inspection took place on 11.06.2018 at 0 km. At that time, all seals (engine, gearbox, rear axle) were renewed, the clutch replaced, brakes overhauled, carburetor overhauled. The fuel tank and tires were also new. The speedometer (km) and trip counter are also new. A VW steering gear is used to improve the driving characteristics. Recently, both drive shafts were replaced, a new water pump and fuel pump installed and the ignition distributor overhauled. Around 4,500 km have been covered since the veteran’s inspection.
Receipts for purchase and repair costs for the veteran’s inspection (total CHF 58,695) are available in full.
History: The TC/3581 left the factory on September 16, 1947 and enjoyed its owner in England. Nothing is known until 1971, when an Italian took over this TC. In 2013 and 2014 the owner took part in classic car rallies. The last entry about the stay in Italy is from 2015. Thanks to the many years in the sunny south, the TC has no rust. I brought the car from England to Holland in 2016 and imported it to Switzerland in 2018. With great enthusiasm, I invested time and energy to make this TC a roadworthy car that conveys the driving pleasure of this old generation of cars.
